The need for HR Transition

Traditional HR Departments, based on the service provider model, are coming under increasing pressure to demonstrate value in the ways that they support their organisations. At the same time, the needs of their organisations are also changing. The new HR Department needs to guarantee an efficient baseline service whilst at the same time providing more sophisticated support to management. This is a difficult transition, requiring new structures, systems and skills.

How Learning Curve can help

Learning Curve has been working in the area of HR Transition for over five years with companies such as Mercury Communications, Esso UK, Nortel Networks, Cable & Wireless, Sun Microsystems and Eagle Star. We have extensive experience of what the key requirements for effective transition are (the free paper Managing HR Transition summarises this experience). We can help you in two ways:

Consultancy
We can help you to identify what the business needs from its HR function and to plan how best to organise and structure the Department to meet these needs.

Resourcing
We can help you to identify the key competences you will need in your people to make HR Transition work, assess the talent pool and help people to plan and manage their development towards the Business Partner skillset.
